Often people can see social care workers as simply supporting people with daily living tasks that they can no longer do themselves, and although this a vital part of social care most people overlook other parts of the support that play a huge role in the happiness of our clients.
At Fosse, our aim for home care is to 'help people live longer, healthier and more fulfilled lives at home' and to do this we want to encourage independence and support people in doing things they still love to do. With safety at the forefront of our operations, we would never put a client in danger and risk assessments are done to ensure we know what a client is capable of.
So, as you can see from the picture above, our lovely client, John likes to enjoy a pint at the pub every now and then when the sun is out like it was this week. His carer, Tara says he has the best time and they really enjoy having a chat whilst watching the world go by.
This is what social care is all about.
