Another ‘Good’ CQC rating for Darlison Court, Ashfield
We are pleased to
announce that our Extra Care Scheme residence, Darlison Court, has been awarded
a CQC rating of ‘Good’.
Darlison Court is a complex of 39 apartments, tailored to the retiring community, including ten apartments managed by Fosse Healthcare on behalf of Ashfield District Council’s Extra Care Scheme. This overall ‘Good’ rating is the second consecutive achievement for Darlison Court and is a glowing acknowledgement of the fantastic work Scheme Manager Tony Eccles, and Team Leader Sue Hoggard, have been doing since we took ownership of the Scheme in October of last year.
Scheme Manager, Tony
Eccles, said: “The team at Darlison Court work so hard to ensure that all
our clients receive the best possible care based on their individual
preferences; we ensure their lives are lived to the fullest and are constantly
looking at ways to engage with them in meaningful activities which allow them
to express their individuality while simultaneously preventing social isolation.”
All CQC ratings are
decided based on the effectiveness, awareness and preparedness for five main
criteria; is the Scheme: safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
Being awarded a ‘Good’ rating indicates that the service at Darlison Court is
performing well and meeting all expectations.
Tony continued, “I am
really pleased and proud to have achieved five strong “Good” results for
our second consecutive inspection. We look forward to continuing to grow and
adapt our services, and who knows, perhaps next year we could bump our rating
to ‘outstanding’ for our clients.”
